So sorry it took so long to post. I kinda forgot. These were some initial ideas and plans. We discussed taking the dorm out of the basement/sublevel. Any other thoughts?

Diagnosis - first drafts

This is a first idea about the Fibonacci sequence that is present in the sunflower

This is one about the rows that the sunflower grows in and the strength of the stalk

This was an attempt to combine the two previous ideas

This was the second attempt to combine them

Diagnosis - Cold

Now that we have gotten our categories and crops, its time for the real work to start. The research seems to be coming along fine for now. Ive come across quite a bit of information that seems helpful as I scan through it but we'll see how well they will actually translate into this topic for my powerpoint. Trying to find information about mechanical space conditioning while this air conditioner is beating down on me seems to be a bit ironic! Is it really efficient or necessary to have this cool air pumping in here while the current Fargo temperature is 7 degrees? Come on renaissance! You're killing me here, everyone better get prepared to see me living in my forever lazy if this keeps up! Hope everyone else is at a better body temperature for the first day of research! Good luck!

Diagnosis - bored

20 minutes in to our first day of urban design and Im already straying, at least Im not asleep like in philosophy. At least this has provided a great opportunity to check out the links Yergens sent out. Stendahl's sketches are very cute. You can tell that she completes them fairly quickly, at least my dog doesn't pose for very long and Im assuming she isn't breaking the cardinal rule of sketching from photos. I find this fairly inspirational, Im get very antsy sitting for extended periods of time and sketching the same thing. I have much more appreciation for sketches that may be lacking some details but claim the feeling of the subject. The urban sketchers contain a lot of the same styles. The subway sketches really caught my eye. So many of them, give you an idea of how the artist felt about the subjects. The men standing awkwardly with the caption about bank robbery was amusing. The artist also used values to convey a certain feeling. Some of the people had a faded color scheme that made them seem softer than the folks with harder tones. Everyday Matters reminds me of when I was a kid. Sketching the things that attract your eyes and having handwriting that just isnt very good. Well, notes are coming and I should try to be a good student (goals remember)
Im out,  to sit in this room for another 120 and some odd minutes.

Diagnosis - Lazy

Well guys, it's the first day of spring studio! Lets make our goals!
I would like to
1. Find more motivation to make it to my classes, unless for a legit reason.
2. Spend more time working un-distracted.
3. Schedule myself better.
4. Improve revit skills (which will require me to stop despising the windows side of my mac)
5. Spend more time sketching

Thats it for now! Whoop me into shape guys!
